Today was a moderately productive day. I finished applications for 7 our of 13 grad school programs. I proofread my writing sample. I wrote a letter of recommendation because, bizarrely to me, but common to everyone else, one of my professors wanted me to write my own letter and then he would tweak it to sound like him. It's glowing, if you're curious.
I don't work this week, which sucks because dollars are sparse. It doesn't suck because it means I get a week without seeing the co-worker I have a crush on and maybe that's good. I don't know. She continues to neither accept nor reject my advances, to the point where I'd say she's rejected them, but whenever I think that, she says something to make me think different. I don't know. I have a date with someone else tomorrow.
Work is okay. We added a student to my classroom this week that's a behavioral problem, but we're going to start assigning seats, so we'll see how that goes for my taking back the class. The elementary school kids are less frustrating. I still think they're awful. I like them when they ask questions about snow, but that's way more about liking snow than liking them.
I'm getting good at keeping my apartment clean and always doing dishes in a timely manner. I also did laundry today and cooked chicken tikka masala and though a bit tomato-y at the end, it was definitely my best attempt thus far. Last night I cooked a red thai pumpkin curry for my favorite girls (Kelly, Tara, Chelsea, and Schwartzy, obvs). Saturday I had made an Indian pumpkin curry for Paul. Tomorrow I am baking a bourbon chocolate pecan pie and my caramel apple pie. Cook, cook, cook!
I am excited for Thanksgiving at Paul and Raphael's.
I installed new brake pads on my motorcycle the other day.
The grocery stores before Thanksgiving are so awful, btw.
This concludes my remarks for the moment.
